What is UNIVEN Academic Record or transcript?

UNIVEN academic Record is an official record of your complete enrolment history at UNIVEN, including the results you achieved for each course, credit points, Grade Point Average (GPA) for each semester, and the overall GPA for your studies. Academic Transcript/Record is at times one of the Jobs or internships requirements that could disqualify you if you refuse to submit a copy.

What is A Good Academic Record?

A Good Academic record as defined by many Universities is the one with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale, wherever grading system is followed).

Below are the process of issuing of academic record at University Of Venda:

1. Cost of Academic Record: the cost of academic record varies, if you an Alumni the cost is R370 and for Current students the cost is R150.

2. Academic record for Graduation Purpose

Any student who wants to be issued an academic record for graduation purpose before the graduation ceremony must submit their documents to the school administrator. After the school administrator has put the remarks then he/she can forward a request for academic record to one of the following emails:

  • The academic record will be printed and sent to the student.
  • A student who gets an academic record before the ceremony will not receive another academic record during the ceremony.

3. Issuing of Academic Record to current students

Self-funded students (students with no bursary or any form of funding) pay an amount of R150-00 and send the proof of payment to Ndivhuwo.singo@univen.ac.za in Finance Department to check if the student is owing any fee, this include library fine. Finance will then advice the student. If the student does not owe the University, the student’s request with proof of payment is sent to Student Administration officials i.e. Fhatuwani.mulidzi@univen.ac.za or Stella.mmbobo@univen.ac.za who will print the academic record and send it back to the student.

Funded students (students with a bursary) will liaise with the bursary department (Financial Aid offices) who will advice and facilitate the process. The contact person will be patricia.mashau@univen.ac.za and or Amukelani.Mabasa@univen.ac.za.

4. Issuing of Academic Record to Alumni

Students pay an amount of R370-00 and send the proof of payment to Ndivhuwo.singo@univen.ac.za in Finance Department to check if the student is owing any fee, this include library fine.
