Unsuccessful applicants are given 30 days to appeal the rejection status upon receiving the decision from NSFAS. However, not all students can appeal their rejection status.

NSFAS explained that only certain students can appeal their unsuccessful application.

“Only students who have unsuccessful status due to Financial Ineligibility, Academic Eligibility Criteria (pass/fail) and the N+ rule (if they are still within N+2) may submit an appeal” explained NSFAS.

They added that new applicants who have provided insufficient documents or information may also appeal.
