Apply For R350 Grant Reconsideration For Every Month You Were Declined

Every declined Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant applicant has the right to apply for reconsideration if their grant application was declined.

The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has reminded clients who have already applied for reconsideration, to apply for reconsideration for every month their application was declined.

Sassa said, ‘Declined applicants who already lodged reconsideration applications should continue to lodge reconsideration requests for each month they are declined’.

Here’s How To Submit A Reconsideration Request Online

Visit the SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za

Step 1: Find the ‘Application for Reconsideration’ tab.

Step 2: Click on where it says ‘click here to apply for reconsideration’.

Step 3: You will be asked to provide your ID number and Mobile number.

Step 4: Follow the prompts to complete the reconsideration of your payment.

Step 1: Call Sassa on 0800 60 10 11

Step 2: Select option 3

Step 3: Speak to the Sassa consultant to lodge your reconsideration request.

Sassa has notified clients that they are currently experiencing a delay in the reconsideration requests. The agency says they are working tirelessly to resolve the matter.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that the SRD grant will be extended to March 2023.

The SRD grant was scheduled to come to an end in March 2022, however, Ramaphosa’s announcement means that people will have access to the crucial financial relief for a further 12 months.
