One of the rejection messages SRD grant applicants have received upon checking their grant application status is ‘Debtor’.

Sassa says the “Debtor” status means that you were paid during the first SRD grant payment cycle. However, upon audit, it was determined that you were not deserving of the SRD grant.

If you have the “Debtor” status, you will have to pay back the money you were paid before you can benefit from the current round of SRD grant payments.
