Step 2: Click on the ‘Login button’
Step 3: Enter your username and password.
Step 4: You will be able to see the progress or the status of UIF application.
How To Check UIF Status Via Phone Call
You will receive a case number upon submitting your claim, contact the call centre at 012 337 1680 to check the progress.
The UIF provides benefits to contributors who are not able to work due to retrenchment, illness, maternity leave and adoption leave. The UIF also pays out benefits to dependents of deceased contributors to the fund.
You must however have been registered with the UIF and have contributed to the fund. This contribution is equivalent to 2% of your gross monthly income. Your employer is responsible for contributing 1% to the fund and the remaining 1% is deducted from your salary.

I am trying to get the R350 grant, as I have been unemployed since 3rd December 2021, but my application was declined due to being registered with UIF. I am receiving no income. How do I get my status from UIF.
I have claimed for my maternity leave payments, received my case number and that was it. The number provided for the “call centre” is actually for COVID related matters . Once the machine is done talking it automatically hangs up on you. The number to check your status over the phone also isn’t functioning at all. Like really this is beyond me!!!!
