On Tuesday 3 May Older Person’s grants were paid, Wednesday 4 May Disability grants and Thursday 5 May Children’s grants were paid.

Therefore, beneficiaries who need to collect their Covid-19 R350 grant and those who use cash pay points are urged to seek alternative ways of collecting their grant.

Recipients who use the gold Sassa card issued by Postbank will be able to withdraw their grants at supermarkets, free of any commission. These beneficiaries may also swipe their card to pay for any purchases as all swipes are free of commission.

Therefore, a recipient receives the full value of their grant when using it at a supermarket, down to the last cent.
