    You must first correct name and surname on SRD website https://srd.sassa.gov.za , under the tab: Request Names and Surname Update

    Once you’ve updated your name and surname, you can submit a request for reconsideration via the website

    Visit the SRD Website: https://srd.sassa.gov.za

    Step 1: Find the ‘Application for Reconsideration’ tab.

    Step 2: Click on where it says ‘click here to apply for reconsideration’.

    Step 3: You will be asked to provide your ID number and Mobile number.

    Step 4: Follow the prompts to complete the reconsideration of your payment.

    It’s important to note that the appeal must be lodged on the Sassa website within 30 days of when they received a rejection status. You must also submit an appeal for every rejected month.
